An internationally known painting school in the south of France, the Marchutz School takes an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to art education. The Marchutz School leads students to unify spontaneous perceptual painting and drawing with extensive museum and site-study in Europe and intensive critical dialogue amongst students and artists at all levels.

The mission of the Marchutz School is threefold: to enhance awareness of the relationship between perception and imagination, to develop historical and critical perspectives, and, above all, to develop the student's capacity to see. Students at Marchutz look around them as well as within themselves until their artistic expression springs from a union of sight and insight.
